How Park Phase I: 2025 Dec 9th City Council authorizes $911,900 Loan Order for improvements, at Bacon & Pleasant Sts for spring 2026 (excludes the basketball courts and dog park).

Bemis Park: 2025 October 14th City Council authorizes $1,350,000 Loan Order, improvements excepted to be completed in spring 2026 and not interfere with the little league season.

The newly renovated Arsenal Park will reopen July 15, 2025! Enjoy the new playground, splashpad, basketball and tennis courts, skate park, parking on site, and much more.

Victory Field Phase II: At the 2025 June 24th City Council meeting, we authorize $8,932,206 Loan Order for improvements to the “oval” track & field and recreational facilities (excludes the playground for young children).

Watertown Recreation Department is the contact for most parks and fields; a new option is shared use with BB&N of the artificial turf fields on Grove St near our Domenic Filippello Park; limited use of Daly Athletic Complex in Brighton is also available per Recreation Director.

Watertown’s continuous frontage along the Charles River Reservation is more than any other municipality’s west of Boston! Check out the DCR Braille Trail loop located within the Watertown Riverfront Park sensory garden, at the intersection of Charles River Road and Irving Street.

Located at Charles River Road and Irving Street are the Pat and Gabriel Farren Playground, and the Watertown Riverfront Park and Braille Trail. Special events are held at the Watertown Square Dock and Delta, off Charles River Road and Main St.
