Considers matters pertaining to planning, development, redevelopment, zoning, land use, transportation networks, marketing, promotion of current and prospective businesses in Watertown, and the Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, Historic District Commission, Community Preservation Committee, Public Arts & Culture Committee.

Considers matters involving the Election Commission and City Clerk, and to serve as a liaison between the city and federal government and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and its authorities, regional bodies, and political subdivisions.
