Opening reception for "Tangled Connections" new sculpture

  • Watertown Linear Park path Watertown, MA 02472 United States (map)

The City of Watertown's Public Arts & Culture Committee is thrilled to announce the opening reception for "Tangled Connections," a new sculptural art installation by local artist-scientists Leah Craig, Romi Kattelson, Amy Mertl, and Nicole Weber. Join us near the intersection of the Linear Park path and Forest St in rear of City Hall, along the Community Path between Whites Ave and Waverley Ave.

This striking artwork is the centerpiece of a larger project titled "Tangled Connections: Knotweed, Resilience, and Local Ecology," proudly presented as part of the Expert Pairings initiative. The project is made possible through the support of the National Endowment for the Arts and the Metropolitan Area Planning Council. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the artists and learn more about the inspiration and ecological significance behind the work. Weather Permitting: In case of rain, the event may be canceled. Please contact the artists at almalm@gmail.com with any questions
